About a month ago, I had the pleasure of hosting a social event at Venture X Frederick, called the “Whimsy Wednesday Wind-down.” It was a mid-week pick-me-up filled with laughs, sweet treats, chill vibes, and creativity with an unusual art medium:

Accountants, lawyers, therapists, students and interns snacked on a delicious afternoon treat and joined in on the creative fun.

INCREDIBLE!
I can’t express just how much joy it brought me to see everyone laughing and chatting as they took a step out of their comfort zone, even if they didn’t think they had a creative bone in their body.
I’m hoping to make a more in-depth post about this experience over on Orribu.Co (or even a video), so keep an eye out for that!
Things just got really busy/intense after the event, so I haven’t been able to follow up like I wanted to.

🥕 Carrot and I Need Your Help! 🥕
The silly goob in question, finally home after his operation!
Early this month, my partner and I had to rush Carrot to the ER after finding the poor baby vomiting nonstop. Turns out the goofy boy swallowed a ribbon, and it was caught around the base of his tongue and made its way through his digestive system.
So he needed a very expensive surgery to get it removed. He’s doing okay and healing well now, as the surgery went okay! Our family just needs help with recovering from the cost of his surgery, as we were already dealing with my own surgery costs beforehand.

Between taking care of Carrot and fighting my own debuffs, I've had little energy for everything else, but I'm trying to get the shop off the ground as fast as I can so that we can pay off his surgery bill. I'm working on a bonus offer that will spark joy too--I'll let you know what that is when the supplies arrive! HINT: It's gonna be signed by the baby boy himself!
